Pumpkin Seed Oil

Pumpkin seed (also called as pepita oil) is the oil extracted from the seeds of a pumpkin or Cucurbita maxima.

Carbohydrates in Pumpkin Seed Oil: there is no carbohydrate in the oil (pumpkin and pumpkin seeds have carbohydrates). The glycemic index of pumpkin seed oil is zero.

Fats in Pumpkin Seed Oil: most of the fat in the oil is polyunsaturated fats, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These fatty acids can help lower your LDL (bad) cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular disease.

For men: this oil is especially appreciated by men – it is considered to be one of the most effective prophylaxis against prostate diseases! Also, Pumpkin oil contains a particularly high amount of magnesium. It has been shown that men with enough magnesium in the blood have 40% less likely to die at a young age than those with lower magnesium levels.
